Tabletop Game Cafe is a boardgame cafe centered around bringing people together and to achieve that goal we need friendly, knowledgeable, passionate people!

Game Knight

We’re looking for one or two part-time staff member. Total shifts will amount to 8-20 hours per person - we currently have Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evening shifts that are a priority to fill. Starting pay is $13+/hr (tipped).

A great attitude and previous food-service experience is the highest priority. We are bridge builders (not gate-keepers) to the hobby and need Game Knights to welcome people across that bridge. Does that sound like you?

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming guests and providing basic information about the cafe and products

  • Taking and preparing food and beverage orders, including espresso-based coffee drinks as well as beer and wine (must be 18 to serve beer, 19 for wine/cider/mead)

  • Handling cash and credit transactions

  • Re-stocking refrigerators, shelves, and displays

  • Opening and closing tasks

  • Washing dishes and surface cleaning of the cafe

  • Maintaining cleanliness and food handling according to local health code

  • Learning games currently in-game library and keeping up to date on upcoming releases and trends in tabletop gaming

  • Teaching games, running demonstrations, and fielding questions regarding games
